     Pre-K - 12 Education

 

  • Provide access to the LA-4 pre-K program for all at-risk children in Louisiana.

  • Require Louisiana high schools to offer students career and technical programs, especially those tied to community or technical college certificates and degrees or industry-based certification, to reduce dropouts and better prepare young people for the workforce.

  • Provide pay incentives and bonuses to principals and teachers who meet high-performance student achievement goals.

  • Fully support a wide array of choices for students in failing or low-performing schools, including charter schools, autonomous schools, and schools in the Recovery School District.

  • Protect ongoing reforms in the Louisiana School and District Accountability System, teacher quality and high schools.
