To help keep Louisiana parents, policymakers and citizens better informed, CABL’s Louisiana Report Card on Major Education Indicators provides up-to-date state test results, trends, and national and regional comparisons from public K-12 to post-secondary education. This quick-reference report connects the dots and highlights key findings and strategic issues. Despite some progress, the current 2013 edition of the Report Card shows that Louisiana still has some chronic challenges in our education system and room for much more improvement. Current achievement levels of Louisiana students continue to indicate a compelling need for systemic district and school changes that will give everyone a better chance at success -- whether that’s reading at grade level or obtaining an associate degree for a high-skilled career.
